MOTION TECH TRENDS

  ENGINEERING SERVICES
           Sample 1

CLIENT: A well known underwater equipment manufacturer.
SITUATION: Production testing and valve adjustment done manually.
PROBLEM: High labor cost, reduced reliability.
SOLUTION:  Applied PC based controller to automate valve adjustment and leak test.
RESULT: Test staff reduced by 75% as production quadrupled.

ENGINEERING SERVICES
Sample 2

CLIENT: A printer manufacturer.
SITUATION: High end printing with continuous paper motion.
PROBLEM: Controls were interacting with other parts of electronics causing equipment failure.
SOLUTION:  Revised control strategy after just one day of analysis.  System stabilized.
RESULT: Control system cost cut in half.  Production back to normal with on time shipping.

ENGINEERING SERVICES
Sample 3

CLIENT: A U. S. Motor Manufacturer.
SITUATION: Client manufactures integral horsepower AC motors focused in a single market. Needing to expand their target markets, they decided to sell into the industrial market with a new series of under 1 HP motors.
PROBLEM: Client recognized the internal lack of individual motors for the industrial market. Motor environment was considerably more hostile than their traditional markets.
SOLUTION:  MTT developed a family of smaller AC Induction motors for the general industrial markets. Products needed to be splash proof and operate in temperatures up to 155 degrees C.
RESULT: A complete package with prototypes and documentation was delivered to the client.

ENGINEERING SERVICES
Sample 4

CLIENT: A large OEM paper motion equipment producer.
SITUATION: Multiple axis paper motion control required.
PROBLEM: Excessive electronics control cost, motion control package too large & consumed too much power.
SOLUTION:  Designed digital controls (patent pending on power amp design).
RESULT: Package reduced in size by 6:1.  Cost reduced 2.5:1.

ENGINEERING SERVICES
Sample 5

CLIENT: A manufacturer of automated press feed machines.
SITUATION: Using large sized step motors in wide load variation application.
PROBLEM: Extremely high field failure rate in amplifier unit. High cost of amplifier and control.
SOLUTION:  MTT professionals reviewed circuit blueprints. Identified under specified components, inefficient use of components and poor circuit board applications. Client implemented changes.
RESULT: Reduced field failures by 7:1. Cost by 40%.
